Overview
Kisan Credit Card scheme provides timely and adequate credit to farmers for cultivation needs. By 2026, 8.5 crore active KCC accounts with ₹10 lakh crore credit outstanding. Covers allied activities like animal husbandry, fisheries.
Limit up to ₹3 lakh based on crop scale/land holding at 4% effective interest (7% base - 3% concession). MP scale increased to ₹5 lakh in 2025. POS swipe facility at PACS. Insurance cover ₹50,000 accidental death.

- SHG members/joint liability groups
- Small/marginal farmers priority

Process & Guidelines
Step 1: Apply at bank/PACS with land records
Step 2: Bank assesses crop/land scale
Step 3: KCC issued with photograph
Step 4: Draw limit for crop season
Step 5: Repay within 12 months
Step 6: Renew annually with fresh assessmen
