Benefits include pre-existing conditions coverage from day one, no waiting period, and 1,949 procedures spanning oncology, cardiology, orthopedics, and more. By 2026, it has authorized 50 crore+ treatments worth ₹1 lakh crore, reducing out-of-pocket expenses by 80% for beneficiaries. PM-JAY integrates with ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) for digital health IDs, enabling seamless portability across states.
Who is Eligible?
- Families in rural areas deprived per SECC 2011 (no adult member 16-59, or manual scavenger, etc.)
- Urban workers like ragpickers, construction laborers, domestic workers
